Finals De-Stress Guide

Finals are upon us! Congratulations to those who have already powered through papers and exams, and good luck on the ones that are yet to come! Though this is undoubtedly an extremely stressful time for everyone, please remember that you are not defined by your grades, and be sure to practice self-care. Luckily, during the next anxiety-inducing week, a number of on-campus organizations will be putting on a couple of different de-stress events and functions to help us relax and unwind.

Check them out here:

Monday:

Chair Massages at iPlace

If you’re a bit tense from all the late nights spent hunched over your laptop, drop by iPlace to relax in soothing massage chairs!

11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Cookies and Coffee at Flamson Plaza

In need of a snack break or a caffeine fix? Come on down to Flamson Plaza and enjoy a delicious array of cookies and coffee sponsored by our very own Women and Leadership Alliance!

2 - 4 p.m.

Tuesday:

Puppy Play Date Outside of iPlace

Come play with some adorable, fluffy pups to de-stress in the iPlace courtyard!

11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Wednesday:

Breakfast Snack at Collins

Stop by Collins at 10:30 p.m. to enjoy some eggs, bacon, tater tots and other breakfast treats served by our very own DoS staff!

10:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Monday-Friday

The CARE Center will also be open 24 hours a day for students looking for a peaceful place to study and/or de-stress (don’t forget to tap in with your student IDs). For those needing to manage stress, counseling sessions will continue throughout finals week during its normal hours on Wednesday and Thursday (9am-1pm) and Friday (10am-2pm). To arrange a meeting, please email Matt Jansky at mattjansky@sbcglobal.net.

The library will also be offering pop-up snack breaks and late-night coffee carts throughout the week! Learn more about all these events on the Honnold Mudd Library Facebook page or on the Night Owls page on the library's website.

Above all else, remember to breathe, eat lots of study snacks, get plenty sleep, and focus on your mental health!
