Imagine yourself after graduation. Your education at CMC has prepared you well for the work world, but has it prepared you enough for the real world? Life After CMCis a four part seminar series aiming to educate us on the things that we need to take care of during the times we are not working. This series is geared toward graduating seniors and is open to CMCers only, but anyone can come. Sign ups are open to all class years now but sign up quickly as they are filling up fast! This seminar series can answer your questions and quell your anxieties about the following topics:


Life After CMC: Personal Finance and Retirement Planning


Wednesday, March 4th 6-8pm Athenaeum's Freeburg Dining Room * 32 people max.


CMC Professor Jerome Garris, Senior Associate Dean of the Faculty, and his son Alex Garris '01, Relationship Manager at the California Bank and Trust, will be speaking through life experience about planning involved in personal finance and retirement. Topics will includes taxes, loans, budgeting, and various retirement options. Dinner at the Athenaeum is included.


Life After CMC: Housing and Insurance


Tuesday, March 10th 6-8pm Athenaeum's Parents Dining Room * 48 people max.


Kelly Arft, Senior Property Manager and Owner's Agent at The Renken Company in Claremont, will join us to discuss housing, focusing on what to look for in a lease and the implications of signing a lease. Bob Sunshine '61 who works for Lincoln Financial Group will be speaking about personal insurance.  Dinner at the Athenaeum is included.
